Eunice de Asis is a dedicated community organizer with over 10 years of experience, originally from the Philippines and now based in the Netherlands. Her work has focused on advocating for undocumented migrants and refugees, having witnessed firsthand the challenges they face in accessing basic rights like banking and social services. Before migrating to the Netherlands, she was a filmmaker, producing impactful, award-winning films and documentaries that highlighted critical social issues and gave voice to marginalized communities. She is actively involved in several migrant organization such as Right to Create, de Asis also function as the chairperson of MiGreat, and Migrante Amsterdam, and serves on the International Coordinating Body of the International Migrant Alliance. In addition to these roles, de Asis is part of the Amsterdam municipality’s sounding board for the undocumented community, advising the city council on policies affecting undocumented migrants in the city. Ms. de Asis is presently working with the Stichting Here to Support initiative on the Financial Inclusion of the Undocumented Migrant project, where she continues her efforts to empower migrant communities in the Netherlands.
